Mechanical Horse

The mechanical horse puppet emulates a horse’s gait through rotating hip movement and a rocking motion that translates into the neck and head. Remote control servos activate eye blinks, brow expression and ear movement, giving the horse life-like facial features for close-up capability. Each horse requires three puppeteers to perform properly and most often is rigged onto a camera car or process trailer. This allows the horse and rider to seamlessly integrate into the natural scenery and gallop alongside other real horses.

Flipping Horse

The flipping horse travels on a carriage that runs on a 24’ track. There are two pneumatic cylinders charged with either a compressor or nitrogen tank:. The effect causes the full-sized horse bust to nose dive, flip, or be thrown varied distances into the ground. The horse is also ride-able, allowing a stunt rider to also be thrown.
